Christmas is just around the corner. Literally....it's coming soooo fast!
This Christmas we are doing gifts on...shhh...it's the B-word: BUDGET. We've always had a budget for Christmas, but this year...it's a little bit lower than usual. We prioritized other activities and other things rather than spending a lot on Christmas. And that's okay. Plus, DIY gifts are so much fun! This year our gifts will consist of crochet and essential oils.
1. Crochet Bobble Beard Hat -- This is such a fun, easy, and cute gift. If you missed No Shave November, don't worry. You can have it all year round. Ashlee Marie has a 2-part blog post giving you the hat and the beard patterns. Or if you're WAY more creative than I am, make your own hat and add the beard. So far these have been a hit in our house.

2. Coffee Cup Cozy -- These are PERFECT for teacher gifts. You can grab the travel mug at your local Dollar Store, grab a $5 coffee gift card to your or their favorite coffee shop, and slip it into the handle of the cozy. BOOM! Done! Whip up a few, have them on hand and you're set for those surprise gifts. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones where you didn't have them on your list, but they had you on theirs...yeah, it has happened before. So crochet up and you'll always have something homemade and special ready to go. You're welcome!
3. Cinnamon Vanilla Scrub -- I don't know about you, but my skin gets super dry during the fall and winter months, especially since we moved to Colorado. I was just in Portland for Women of Faith this past weekend and OMG...my skin returned to normal. I miss the PNW. Any way, since I'm here, exfoliation is HUGE. And what's better than doing it all naturally? It exfoliates gently and smells fabulous! Young Living Essential Oils is what we use in our family because of their Seed to Seal Promise. (I'm not here to debate oils. This is just what we use, love, and trust.)
4. DIY Deodorant -- My friend Corrine Overend has a wonderful recipe to make your own deodorant. When you make it in bulk, it saves you a TON of money and can gift to several people in just a few batches. Plus, you know what's in your deodorant and it's all natural. I'm loving all the DIY essential oil recipes out there. Everything from scrubs, to deodorants, to chap sticks/lip balms, to creams of all kinds. Email me to get started with your Premium Starter Kit or if you want to use my 24% discount.
I have a TON more of DIY gifts that we're doing this year and you can check out some ideas here.
